Privacy Policy

Broadcasting Line operates My Peace of Mind, an equipment and inventory management service available through the iPhone app and the Broadcasting Line website. This policy explains how we handle information when a company or its authorized users use the service.
Information we handle
- Account and company details: name, work email address, company name, role, account credentials, invitations, and subscription status. Passwords are processed for sign-in and stored as password hashes on the service.
- Inventory and work records: equipment barcodes and GTINs, serial and part numbers, MAC addresses, manufacturer and model, locations, job information, notes, custody history, reservations, and transfers entered by authorized users.
- Notifications and billing: a push-notification token if you allow notifications; Apple subscription product and transaction information needed to verify and manage a company plan. Apple handles payment details through its own systems; we do not receive your full payment-card number from Apple.
- Service information: technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as requests to our API and security or error records.
Camera, scans, and lookups
The app requests camera access to read equipment labels and codes. On supported iPhones, the Smart Scan recognition process uses Apple's on-device VisionKit. The information you choose to save becomes part of your company's inventory. A separate label-photo mode may send a captured label image to an OCR service on the same local network for analysis; it requires that service to be available. The app may also send a MAC address to a vendor-lookup service when identifying a manufacturer. Do not scan labels containing information your company does not want included in its inventory.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate users; provide inventory, job, transfer, and subscription features; send requested account emails and equipment notifications; prevent misuse; troubleshoot the service; and respond to support and privacy requests. We do not sell personal information or use inventory records for third-party advertising.
Who receives information
Information is available to authorized users within the same company according to their roles. We use service providers for hosting, database operation, transactional email, and push notifications. Apple processes App Store subscriptions and related purchases under its own policies. When the MAC vendor lookup is used, the lookup provider receives the queried MAC address. The optional local OCR service receives label photos only when that mode is used. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the service and its users.
Storage, security, and retention
Company records are kept while the account is active and as needed to provide the service. An account owner may request company deletion through Account & Company, subject to the recovery process shown there. Some information may remain for a limited period in backups, security records, or where required for legal and financial obligations. We use access controls and other reasonable safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
You can decline camera or notification permission in iPhone settings; the related features may then be unavailable. Authorized company users can review and update many records in the app. For access, correction, or deletion requests, contact us at gscarpetta@broadcastingline.com. We may need to verify your identity and your authority to act for a company before responding.
Children
My Peace of Mind is intended for business use and is not directed to children.
